This almond or vanilla buttercream frosting is silky, smooth, and easy to make. Combining melted butter, confectioners’ sugar, milk or cream, and your choice of vanilla or almond extract, it’s ideal for frosting cakes, cupcakes, and other sweet treats.
Ingredients
4 cups confectioners’ sugar
10 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons whipping cream or milk
1 teaspoon each vanilla extract and almond extract, or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
- In a small mixing bowl, use an electric mixer on low speed to beat together confectioners’ sugar and melted butter. Beat in whipping cream or milk and extract(s) until smooth.
