This easy chocolate ganache recipe yields a smooth, creamy topping or filling using just chocolate and heavy cream. Simply heat the cream, pour it over chopped chocolate, and stir to a glossy consistency. Ideal for cakes, tarts, truffles, or as a decadent drizzle over your favorite desserts.

Ingredients

2 (4-ounce) bars Ghirardelli white, semisweet or 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped

1 cup heavy whipping cream

Directions

  1. In a medium heatproof bowl, place chopped chocolate; set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat cream over medium heat just until small bubbles form (do not boil). Pour hot cream over chopped chocolate; let stand for 5 minutes without stirring.
  3. Using a small silicone spatula, slowly stir mixture until combined and completely smooth.
