This citrus glaze is a simple, sweet, and zesty topping made with butter, confectioners’ sugar, orange juice, vanilla, and fresh orange zest. It’s ideal for adding a bright, flavorful finish to cakes, cupcakes, scones, or any baked treat.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup confectioners’ sugar

2 tablespoons orange juice

1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1⁄2 teaspoon grated orange zest

Directions

  1. In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat butter in microwave on high power, covered, about 15 seconds or until melted.
  2. Stir in confectioners’ sugar. Stir in orange juice, vanilla and orange zest until smooth.
