Gumdrop Cookies

Soft, chewy cookies studded with bright gumdrops for a playful and nostalgic burst of sweetness in every bite.

Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

¾ cup packed brown sugar

¾ cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2¼ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

3 cups gumdrops, cut in half

Directions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl beat together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  2. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture until combined. Stir in 2 cups of the gumdrops.
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Add remaining pieces of gumdrops to top of cookies. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 9 minutes or until golden brown on bottom. Cool on a wire rack.
