Ingredients
½ cup pure maple syrup, plus additional for garnish
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ teaspoon coarse kosher salt
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
In medium saucepan, bring ½ cup maple syrup to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and gently simmer for 10 to 12 minutes or until reduced by half. Cool completely.
In a small mixing bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium for 1 minute or until smooth and creamy. Add the cooled maple syrup, salt and cinnamon. Beat on medium for 1 to 2 minutes or until light and fluffy.
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 week. Soften before serving. Drizzle with additional maple syrup, if desired.
