A bright and sweet maple-citrus topping featuring mandarins and grapefruit in a lightly thickened syrup, perfect for drizzling over pancakes, waffles, or desserts.

Ingredients

¾ cup Skinny Sticks’ vanilla bean infused or pure maple syrup

¾ cup fresh Sumo mandarin or Cara Cara navel orange juice

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon salted butter

2 Sumo mandarins or Cara Cara navel oranges, peeled and sectioned

1 small grapefruit, peeled and sectioned

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan whisk together syrup, juice and cornstarch until cornstarch is dissolved.
  2. Bring to boil over medium heat, whisking often. Reduce heat; cook and whisk for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in butter. Add citrus sections; gently stir until coated.
