Ingredients
2 medium carrots
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons butter
½ teaspoon grated orange zest
Directions
- Cook carrots, covered, in a saucepan containing 1 inch of boiling salted water for 5 minutes or in a 1-quart baking dish containing 2 tablespoons water for 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain.
- Stir in brown sugar, butter and orange zest. Heat through and serve immediately. (Or, cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours. To reheat, cover and bake in preheated 425˚F oven for 20 minutes or cook in microwave on high power for 2 minutes.)
