Ingredients
1½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup chopped unsalted pecans
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
1 large egg, beaten
Directions
In a medium bowl mix the flour, pecans, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until evenly distributed. Stir in egg; do not overmix.
Shape dough into an 8-inch log; wrap in plastic and chill for 30 minutes.
Press chilled dough into a 13½ x 4½-inch tart pan with removable bottom sprayed with nonstick cooking spray; prick crust. Place pan on baking sheet and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
