This vibrant raspberry coulis is an easy, elegant sauce that adds a fresh, fruity touch to cakes, ice cream, and other desserts.
Ingredients
4 cups raspberries
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine raspberries, sugar and lemon juice. Simmer over medium-low heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until the sugar dissolves and mixture slightly thickens.
- Strain raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve set over a bowl, using the back of a spoon to press the raspberries against the sieve to release their juices. Discard fruit pulp. Cool sauce before serving.
