Ingredients
1 cup fresh cranberries
1 gallon fresh pressed pasteurized 100% apple cider
½ cup pomegranate arils
1 pomegranate, split in half
1 blood orange, sliced
2 tablespoons orange blossom honey
6 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon whole allspice
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
3 star anise
Directions
- Cut ¼ cup cranberries in half, if desired. In a 4-quart stockpot or Dutch oven, combine cut and whole cranberries, apple cider, pomegranate arils, split pomegranate, blood orange slices, honey, cinnamon sticks, allspice, vanilla and star anise.
- Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat; reduce heat. Gently simmer, uncovered, for 2 hours.
