Bite-sized steak canapés with zesty horseradish on roasted garlic crackers, topped with thinly sliced radishes—perfect for elegant appetizers or party hors d’oeuvres.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 (4½-ounce) boneless beef top loin steak, cut ¾ inch thick

Salt

Cracked black pepper

¼ cup bottled horseradish sauce

24 Roasted Garlic Crackers

Thinly sliced red radishes

Directions

  1. Rub oil onto both sides of steak. Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak; cook for 8 to 11 minutes or until steak reaches desired doneness (145°F for medium-rare or 160°F for medium), turning halfway through. Transfer steak to cutting board. Loosely cover with foil and let rest for 3 minutes.
  3. Thinly slice steak across the grain. Spread about ½ teaspoon horseradish sauce on each cracker. Top with steak and radish slices. Sprinkle with black pepper, if desired.
