Yield:
6 servings

Ingredients

Nonstick cooking spray

1 pound ground beef

1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning

½ recipe Traditional Hand-Tossed Pizza Dough

1 (15-ounce) can refried black beans

1 (7-ounce) package shredded 3-cheese Mexican blend

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup crushed white corn tortilla chips

¾ cup diced tomatoes

½ cup crumbled Cotija cheese

Taco sauce, for garnish

Hot sauce, for serving

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Lightly spray a 12-inch-round pizza pan or baking sheet with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. In a large skillet cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, stirring occasionally to break into crumbles. Drain and discard drippings. Stir in taco seasoning. Set beef mixture aside.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer dough round to prepared pizza pan or baking sheet. Spread with refried beans to within ½ inch of edge. Top with half of the beef mixture and the 3-cheese Mexican blend. (Reserve remaining beef mixture for another use.)
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until edges are golden, rotating pizza pan or baking sheet halfway through. Remove from oven; top with lettuce, tortilla chips, tomatoes and Cotija cheese. Garnish with taco sauce, if desired. Serve with hot sauce.
