Ingredients
Nonstick cooking spray
1 pound ground beef
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning
½ recipe Traditional Hand-Tossed Pizza Dough
1 (15-ounce) can refried black beans
1 (7-ounce) package shredded 3-cheese Mexican blend
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup crushed white corn tortilla chips
¾ cup diced tomatoes
½ cup crumbled Cotija cheese
Taco sauce, for garnish
Hot sauce, for serving
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Lightly spray a 12-inch-round pizza pan or baking sheet with cooking spray; set aside.
- In a large skillet cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, stirring occasionally to break into crumbles. Drain and discard drippings. Stir in taco seasoning. Set beef mixture aside.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer dough round to prepared pizza pan or baking sheet. Spread with refried beans to within ½ inch of edge. Top with half of the beef mixture and the 3-cheese Mexican blend. (Reserve remaining beef mixture for another use.)
- Bake for 20 minutes or until edges are golden, rotating pizza pan or baking sheet halfway through. Remove from oven; top with lettuce, tortilla chips, tomatoes and Cotija cheese. Garnish with taco sauce, if desired. Serve with hot sauce.
