Cilantro-Lime Deviled Eggs

Fresh and zesty deviled eggs with a smooth cilantro-lime filling and a touch of jalapeño, garnished with lime zest and jalapeño slices for a lively, flavorful bite.

Ingredients

6 Basic Hard-Cooked Eggs

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon lime zest, plus additional for garnish

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1 tablespoon finely chopped seeded jalapeño pepper, plus additional slices for garnish

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh cilantro

Coarse kosher salt, to taste

Directions

  1. Add mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon lime zest, lime juice, 1 tablespoon jalapeño pepper and cilantro to cooked egg yolks in bowl. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Season to taste with kosher salt.
  2. Pipe or spoon egg yolk mixture into egg white halves. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 1 day.
  3. To serve, garnish with jalapeño slices and additional lime zest, if desired.

*Note: Chile peppers contain volatile oils that can burn skin and eyes. When working with jalapeño peppers, wear protective gloves.
