Sweet corn husks brushed with butter and oil, grilled until tender and lightly charred for a smoky, juicy flavor. Perfect for backyard barbecues or family meals.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons olive or canola oil
Pinch of salt
6 ears sweet corn
Directions
- In a small bowl combine melted butter, oil and salt; stir well.
- Without removing husks, pull back corn husks and remove silk. Brush kernels with butter mixture and replace husks as tightly as possible.
- Soak ears in cold water for 1 to 3 hours. Remove corn from water. Place two ears on a large piece of heavy aluminum foil and wrap well. Repeat with remaining corn.
- Grill on an uncovered grill over medium-high heat for 15 to 20 minutes, turning once. Remove foil and place corn directly on grill. Cook 5 minutes or until husks are charred, turning frequently.
- Serve with additional butter and salt, if desired.
