Total Time:
Yield:
10 to 12 servings

Ingredients

2 cups medium strawberries, hulled and sliced

1½ cups water

½ cup Chamomile Simple Syrup

1 (12-ounce) can frozen concentrated lemonade, thawed

1 (1-liter) bottle ginger ale (33.8 ounces) Ice ring

Fresh whole small strawberries, lemon slices, raspberries and/or fresh mint, for garnish

Directions

  1. Place 2 cups strawberries, water, ½ cup Chamomile Simple Syrup and thawed lemonade in a blender. Cover and blend until puréed. Strain mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large punch bowl. Skim and discard foam from top of strawberry mixture, if desired. Add ginger ale and ice ring. Garnish with additional fruit, and/or mint, if desired.

Chamomile Simple Syrup:

In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup water  and ¾ cup granulated sugar over medium heat for 5 minutes or just until sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add 4 chamomile herbal tea bags. Let stand, uncovered, at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove tea bags. Store syrup in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator at least 1 hour or up to 7 days.
