A refreshing chai tea drink featuring spiced tea ice cubes and creamy milk, lightly sweetened with brown sugar and vanilla—a perfect cool, creamy and flavorful treat.

Ingredients

2 cups water

6 chai tea bags

⅓ cup packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

4 cups 2% reduced-fat milk

Cinnamon sugar, optional

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan bring water to boiling; remove from heat. Add tea bags and steep for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove tea bags. Stir in brown sugar. Cool.
  2. Stir vanilla into tea mixture. Pour mixture into an ice cube tray. Freeze for 4 hours or until firm.
  3. For each serving, place 4 chai ice cubes in a 10-ounce glass. Pour 1 cup milk over cubes. Let stand about 5 minutes or until cubes begin to melt. Stir before serving. If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
