Vibrant and creamy, this roasted red pepper spread is a simple yet elegant addition to any appetizer spread. The combination of roasted peppers, basil, and a hint of spice creates a luscious dip that’s both colorful and full of Mediterranean flavor.

Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup jarred roasted red peppers, drained

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil, plus additional for garnish

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper, plus additional for garnish

1 clove garlic, minced

Directions

  1. In a food processor, place cream cheese, roasted peppers, 1 tablespoon basil, lemon juice, ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper and garlic. Cover and process until smooth and creamy.
  2. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 week. Garnish with additional crushed red pepper and basil, if desired.
