Crunchy, caramelized almonds with a sweet and spicy twist, ideal for snacking, salads, or adding a flavorful crunch to any dish
Ingredients
¼ cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon butter
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
⅛ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon Tabasco sauce
½ cup sliced almonds
Directions
- In a small skillet combine brown sugar, butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt and Tabasco sauce. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Stir in almonds. Cook, stirring frequently, until sugar becomes liquid and coats almonds.
- Immediately spread almonds on foil or large plate. Cool. Break into bite-size pieces.
