This traditional tzatziki is a smooth, tangy dip made with Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and fresh dill. Light and refreshing, it pairs beautifully with grilled meats, pita bread, or fresh vegetables. A simple and flavorful way to bring Mediterranean freshness to any meal.

Ingredients

½ medium English cucumber, diced; plus additional for garnish

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill, plus additional for garnish

2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

¼ teaspoon coarse kosher salt

⅛ teaspoon ground white pepper

Directions

  1. Place diced cucumber in a fine-mesh strainer and press to drain; discard liquid.
  2. In a medium bowl combine drained cucumber, yogurt, garlic, 2 tablespoons dill, lemon juice, salt and white pepper. Cover and chill.
  3. Transfer to a small serving bowl. Garnish with additional diced cucumber and dill, if desired.
