By
Test Kitchen
Spring 2016
Soft, flavorful orange butter piped into decorative florets, infused with fresh zest and juice––ideal for adding a citrusy touch to breads, rolls, or morning pastries.

Total Time:
Yield:
½ cup, 8 (1-tablespoon) servings

Ingredients

½ cup butter, softened

1 tablespoon minced orange zest

1 tablespoon fresh orange juice

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine butter, zest and juice.
  2. Attach a star tip to a piping bag; transfer butter to piping bag. Pipe small floret shapes onto a platter. Chill in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
  3. Using a metal spatula, carefully remove butter florets and transfer to a serving platter. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
