This sweet and tangy vinaigrette combines red onion, honey, and mustard with olive and canola oils for a flavorful, versatile salad dressing.

Ingredients

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

¼ cup canola oil

¼ cup red wine vinegar

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon grated red onion and juice

1 teaspoon coarse ground mustard

½ teaspoon salt

Several dashes ground black pepper

Directions

  1. In a small bowl whisk together olive oil, canola oil, wine vinegar, honey, grated onion, mustard, salt and pepper. Cover and chill until serving time.
